Nepal has been facilitating ‘On Arrival’ visa to the people flying to Nepal. The Visa procedure is very simple and quick however, you may need to stand in line during peak tourist season in Nepal. You can also obtain your Visa to Nepal from the Nepalese Embassy based in your home county as well if you wish to skip the line at the airport. But please remember that, visitors who has obtained VISA’s from the embassies must travel Nepal within the six months from their visa issued date.

People from Nigeria, Ghana, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Palestine Syria, Iraq and refugees are requested to get their Visa from their nearby consulate offices of Nepal in their region.

Also, if you entering Nepal from the borders to Tibet or India, you can get visa at the entry point of the borders.

One of our airport representation will be at the airport to welcome you. He will be carrying the placard of Nepal Hiking Team with your name underneath. He will take you to your trip Hotel and help you to check in.

Our airport representative will come to your Hotel approx.3 hours before your scheduled flight. He will take you to the Airport for your flight back home.

International flight tickets are not included in the trip cost. So you will have to book your own international flights to Nepal.

Our standard package includes 3-star categorical hotel usually, WOODAPPLE HOTEL AND SPA or similar in Kathmandu. It is a newly built property in the outskirts of Thamel and offers great services and amenities to the valued guest.

Yes, you can extend your Hotel stay in Kathmandu and it cost approx. USD 50 and 55 per night inclusive of breakfast for single and double/twin room respectively.

Definitely, you can upgrade your trip Hotel to luxury Hotel in Kathmandu. There are several luxury hotels in Kathmandu. You may inform us your preferred Hotel or we shall give you our options. Either way, we shall comply with your request.

The hotel you will be accommodated in Kathmandu before and after the trek has the facility to store all your unnecessary stuffs while you are on the trek safely without charging any fees.

To do this trek, you need valid passport, tourist Visa, 2 passport sized photographs for trekking permits, and travel insurance which is very important.

All the trekking dates we have published are guaranteed to operate. We have multiple dates within the same months because, we want to offer our trekkers a flexibility to choose the dates that suits the most to them so that they can travel freely whenever they want.

We run several small group joining treks with guaranteed departure dates so solo travelers are welcome to join in a group.

We will still run your trip even there are no other travelers on the dates you have booked. We never ask our client to change the travel dates due to insufficient number of people. We always run the trip whether there are enough number of people or not.

Yes, we do organize private trip. We do not surcharge extra cost if there are two or more people for your trip. Also, for a private trip, we have guaranteed departure dates all year round thus, travelers can choose any dates they like as per their conveniences. Travelers can choose their own fix dates.

But if you are a solo traveler, then for a private trip, additional will be added on the published rate on our website.

During the trek, you shall be accommodated in the teahouses/guesthouses. The rooms at the teahouses are neat and clean, equipped with twin beds for two trekkers and beds are set up with mattress, bed sheet, pillow and a blanket. And private bathrooms are available mainly three location including Lukla, Phakding and Namche.

Yes, hot showers are available all through the trek. Our package includes private free hot shower for three locations i.e., Lukla, Phakding and Namche. But afterwards, it cost around NPR 300- 500 per hot shower depending on location.

Indeed, you can get separate room during trek however, it depends on the availability of the rooms at the teahouse and season you are trekking. Even if you get a separate room, teahouses will charge additional cost depending on the trekking season. And the cost can go way higher too. But if you opt trekking during summer, monsoon and winter season, there is higher chances of getting separate rooms as there will less trekkers on the route.

You can find western flushing style toilet as well as squat down toilets in the Everest trail. However, during the winter season, as you move higher in the trail, we suggest you to use the squat down toilet instead of sit-down toilets. Because, as we move higher, it get colder and water freezes making it difficult to flush the toilet. So, we advise you to check if the water is working perfectly before using the toilets as you move higher.

Usually, before leaving the teahouse, our guides advise trekkers to go to washroom to avoid going to toilets in between the trail. Moreover, you will come across few houses along the trail who will let you use their washroom. But if is emergency and there are no houses in near distance, then you will have to do it in the nature.

You can find various ways to access internet. If you have purchase SIM card, then you can use data to access internet. However, the network connection for both, communication and to access internet may not be consistently good. As you move higher, the connection can get weak.

Likewise, another way is to get WIFI service from the teahouse. For that, please expect to pay some amount.

And last but not the least, you can purchase Everest Link card which is quite popular in Everest region for its fast and reliable internet service. You can purchase these cards in Kathmandu as well as in Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Dingboche and Gokyo Valley.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided during the trek. All meals will be taken at local teahouses. Most items served at the teahouses are freshly prepared and healthy.

For breakfast, you can choose from cereal, oats, Tibetan bread, chappati, bread, hash browns, apple pie, scrambled or boiled eggs, etc. together with a beverage of your choice – tea, milk, juice or coffee.

During lunch and dinner, you can either have the sumptuous traditional dal-bhaat or Nepali Thali comprising of boiled rice, lentil soup, two or three varieties of vegetable curry, pickle, salad and pappad (lentil cracker). You can enjoy unlimited refills if you order dal-bhaat. Other dishes on offer include fried noodles (chowmein), Sherpa stew, steamed or fried momos (dumplings with vegetable or meat fillings), pasta, spaghetti, pizza, parantha, burger with fries etc.

If you are allergic to gluten then we advise you to bring your own snacks and ready-to-eat meals. There will be a limited choice for you as most of the items on the menu will have gluten.

The food available on the trail is ideal for vegans. Meat is not readily available and most of the dishes are prepared using herbs and locally sourced vegetables. If you are a vegan, you can avoid the milk and yak cheese which is quite popular in the mountains.

You can carry sterilizing tools like steri pen or Lifestraw to filter your drinking water. You can also carry water purification pills to purify your drinking water. You can purchase boiled drinking water from teahouses. Mineral water bottles are readily available but we advise you not to purchase them as the empty plastic bottles add to the trash problem. Moreover, mineral water is very costly in the mountain. You will be paying four or five times more than the original price as each item in the mountain cost more because of heavy transportation costs.

Note: Drinking water is not included in our package.

We cannot say exactly how much spending you need for the trek. Also, depends on spending habits. Most of the stuff available on the trail is pretty expensive compared to main city area.

Besides, all our trek packages include 3 meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners) during the trekking days; so, you will not be spending much on meals. However, trekkers will have to bear the cost of water, beverages, snacks, chocolates, etc. Therefore, on the rough figure, many of our past trekkers have said NPR 2500-3000 will suffice plentifully each day during trekking days.

You start your day on the trail with breakfast at the teahouse where you sleep overnight. After breakfast, you carry your daypack and follow your guide to the next destination.

On the way, you stop to take pictures and admire the scenery. At mid-day, you stop for lunch at a local teahouse. After spending an hour or so you continue your hike up to your destination. Our staff will be at the front as well as at the end of the group to make sure no one is left behind. Do not take off by yourself without informing your guide. It is easy to lose your way where there are multiple trails.

After reaching the stop for the day you take rest at the teahouse or explore the village and surrounding area. Usually, trekkers gather at the communal area of the teahouse and swap stories and play games sitting near the warm wood stove. After dinner, you head to your room and enjoy a good night’s rest.

They do accept credit card or debit card on the trek. But halfheartedly. Also, cards are accepted in some places only. Mostly, some shops in Namche Bazaar accepts credits cards but not further than that. Also, please, it is easy if the things are handled by money. Moreover, foreign currency is not accepted. Only local currencies are accepted.

Toilet paper are necessity for your trek. They are really important. You can purchase toilet paper at the guest house along the trail if you forget to bring one from the city.

You can find few laundry services in Namche Bazaar. And afterwards, Namche there are no laundry service available. So, you will have to hand wash your clothes yourself if it is really necessary to do laundry. Otherwise, you can bring your dirty laundry in Kathmandu and give it for laundry all in once.

Yes, you can charge your electronic gadgets during trek. However, please remember that afterward, Namche, electrify in Everest region is obtained through solar panel. Hence, if it is not a good, sunny or bright day, you will only get limited electricity. Besides, it cost around NPR 200-300 per hour electronic gadget to charge.

In Nepal, no flat prongs are found in use like that of other countries. Electric plugs in Nepal are of two or three rounds. You can find type C, type D or type M electric sockets of power voltage of 230V / 50Hz. It is better if you bring universal travel adapter.

The most well-known seasons for the trek are spring and autumn season. In Nepal, spring begins from February and goes on until May. This season offers moderate temperature, lots of sunshine, and the bright blossoms of wildflowers and rhododendrons. Trekkers who need to see the Himalayas at their best should do trek during this time of the year and it is also one of the best times for mountain expedition in Nepal.

Likewise, those who wants to see splendid mountain views should also consider traveling during autumn season which falls from September and November. This is top trekking season, with low precipitation, clear blue skies, and clear view of the skyline. Obviously, you can also trek in different seasons.

Nepal’s late spring is characterized by monsoon season, which brings substantial downpour, quick streaming waterways, and lavish greenery. This is an extraordinary season if you prefer not to be in the trail full of trekkers. The weather and temperature during the differ as per the seasons.

During spring season, the weather is not hot neither cold. It is mild and moderate. The average temperature during the day is 5 degree Celsius and the night time is -7 degree Celsius. The wind speed around this time is about 4 kph. And in today you will have a good sunshine for about 7 hours per day.

Likewise, during summer or monsoon season, the weather is potentially very hot but not that much on the trekking trail. The average day time temperature in the trails is 20-25 degree Celsius and the night time temperature is -5 degree Celsius. You will experience an occasional rain as well since it is monsoon season but nothing like in Kathmandu or anywhere in the lower heights. Therefore, if you plan to visit Nepal during these times, we would recommend you to bring ponchos, waterproof jackets and shoes and down jackets to keep yourself warm. The wind speed will be 8 kph and the sunshine hour is about 4 hours per day.

Furthermore, during autumn season, the weather is moderate. And the average day time temperature will be 12 to 20 degrees Celsius and the average nighttime temperature will be 3 to 7 degree Celsius. The wind speed is 4 kph and the sunshine hour is about 7 hours per day.

And lastly, during winter season, the temperature can be chill to extreme cold. The average daytime temperature is 5-8 degree Celsius and the average night time temperature is negative 7 to 20 degree Celsius. The trail is snowy so you have to careful while walking. Also, the wind speed during time is around 14 kph and the sunshine hours is about 7 hours per day. The trail will be quite and you can have glorious views of the mountains. But really has to be careful about the trekking equipment’s as well as proper clothing.

The sleeping bags that we lend to the trekkers is in perfect condition and is suitable for -20-degree Celsius temperature.

Our guides are qualified to handle small primary medical emergencies as they are first aid trained. And if there is a case of emergency, then they will manage the emergency evacuation in cooperation with Kathmandu team so that patients can get the medical attention as soon as possible.

Our guides carry oximeter with them to regular check the amount of oxygen level in the blood. A first aid box for the minor injuries and a Diamox for the prevention of altitude sickness.

In general, you do not have to be vaccinated to do any trek in Nepal. There is very less chances of contracting Malaria since is found in the areas that is below 1500m. However, if you are concern about certain diseases you can console with your doctor before opting for the trek.

Indeed, trekker can continue their trek if the sickness is mild and recoverable after a day rest. But, if the condition of the trekker is very serious then, he or she will be flown back to city in an emergency evacuation.

Unfortunately, we do not have a Portable Altitude Chamber.

All our guides are certified and trained trekking leaders. Our guides are certified by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) which is run by the Government of Nepal. Likewise, they have years of working experience in this line of work. They have knowledge about different trekking trails of Nepal, mountain ranges, culture and the mountain sickness.

They received basic first aid training where they learn about General first aid procedures, Lecture about altitude illness (AMS/HAPE/HACE) and Use of hyperbaric chambers. This training course if of three day and after finishing this course they are awarded with a certificate.

Tipping is a form of showing your appreciation to people who have served you and helped you reach your goal. During your trek, your guide and porter will carry your load and guide to your destination. They will make sure that you complete your trip safely while enjoying every moment of your journey. The least you can do is show your appreciation by tipping them generously. Having said that it is up to you to decide how much to offer as a tip. It all depends on your experience and the kind of service you receive from them. Tipping is expected by the field staff for the backbreaking work they have to do.

You can add extra days to your trekking trip however if you are joining in a group trek then we must inform you it shall not be possible. In order to be able to add few extra days in a trek, it has to be a private trek.

If you have multiple free days, then we would recommend you 3 day and 2-night trip to Chitwan or short trip to Pokhara. Or else an adventurous activity such as bungee jumping, white river rafting, paragliding, zip lining and cultural heritage tours and many more.

To reserve a spot, it is indeed necessary to make down payment. However, we want our clients to make down payment only when they are sure and certain that they want to do the trek. To reserve a spot, 20% down payment of total cost is required.

The booking deposit (20% of the trip cost) is non-refundable, as much of it will be used for the booking of services that you will be needing during your trip. Most service providers do not offer a cancellation refund, so we won’t be able to get back the amount used to book those services.

However, if in case you are unable to travel due to any reason, you can postpone the trip for the future without any charge. Your deposited amount will be transferred for your future trip.
